John René Dubois, MD, FRCPC, died on Dec. 5, 2023, in London, Ont., at age 92. Dr. Dubois was certified by the Royal College in Psychiatry in 1964. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Michigan in 1956. Dr. Dubois practised as a child psychiatrist for 50 years, seeing over 7,000 patients during this time. Following his medical training in the United States, he came to Canada to accept the position of founding executive director of Madame Vanier Children’s Services. Read more about Dr. Dubois.

Micheline Collins, MD, FRCPC, died on March 1, 2024, in Montreal, Que., at age 74. Dr. Collins was certified by the Royal College in Dermatology in 1980. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Montreal in 1975. Dr. Collins will be missed by family and friends. Read more about Dr. Collins

William Glen Hutchison, MD, FRCSC, died on Feb. 2, 2024, in Guelph, Ont., at age 98. Dr. Hutchison was certified by the Royal College in Ophthalmology in 1963. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Manitoba in 1958. Dr. Hutchison practised as an ophthalmologist in Guelph for 60 years before his retirement in 2021. In addition to his practice, he served on the Guelph General Hospital board. Read more about Dr. Hutchison

Nashwan Albeer Ibrahim Naom, MD, FRCPC, died on Dec. 3, 2023, in Leamington, Ont., at age 59. Dr. Naom was certified by the Royal College in Internal Medicine in 2008. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Al-Mustansiriyah in Baghdad, Iraq, in 1988. For over 15 years, Dr. Naom served the community of Leamington, practising as an Internal Medicine physician at Erie Shores HealthCare where he also served as chief of Internal Medicine. He is remembered as a compassionate and caring physician. Read more about Dr. Naom
